DuraCoated Leatherman: "Tactical Charge" by Nutnfancy
DuraCoated Leatherman: "Tactical Charge" by Nutnfancy Tube. Duration : 11.67 Mins.
The Leatherman Charge Ti (and TTi) remain my favorite medium duty multi-tools (see review www.youtube.com As it arrives from Leatherman, the Charge MT, in all its varieties, is adequately good looking but not special or impressive. Moreover, if a tactical multi-tool with low reflectivity or sheen is needed in your operations (and the black versions don't do it for you) then maybe a DuraCoated Leatherman should be your next project. Here I show and discuss the Leatherman "Charge Ti" that I transformed into a "Tactical Charge," wearing a carefully applied coat of Lauer Weaponry's "Tactical Desert Earth" (an ultra-flat variety) DuraCoat. For such a small MT it is a big project and one that most will not want to tackle; the work required is disproportionate to its size. There are many parts with many surfaces (don't lose them!), each needing preparation for coating (to ensure adherence; I used combination fine steel wool and 400 grit automotive sandpaper). Also takedown and reassembly are not exactly fast and simple. But with patience the end result is impressive and you'll have a one of a kind multi-tool. For me it elevates this MT to the next level of coolness. ////////////////// Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 10 out of 10 //// Music: "Technot" by Torley Wong

Leatherman Crunch
Leatherman Crunch Video Clips. Duration : 9.17 Mins.
A look at this very unique multi tool. The Crunch is a great vise grip but is a little lacking in The multi tool dept. The blade is short and fully serrated, and the tools are limited. Unlike a Charge or Wave this isn't a "one tool to rule them all" kinda tool, it's more of a " oh good, I have this crappy blade with me, I don't have to walk back to my tool box" kinda tool. I really like the vise grips and standard leatherman wire cutters but it's kinda heavy and I much prefer a Charge TTi. As usual this is just my opinion, it may be exactly the tool that you need. As usual the fit and engineering that goes into this tool is the high end quality that you'd expect from Leatherman.

Leatherman Supertool 300
Leatherman Supertool 300 Tube. Duration : 2.38 Mins.
The award-winning, Leatherman Super Tool 300 is the multi-tool for the working man. Larger pliers are the strongest we've ever produced and the sloped-top handle design means you can maneuver them further into tight spaces. When you're working with gloves on, the large side cutouts make it easy to still grab components and rolled handles make for a comfortable grip. Stranded, hard and regular wire cutters all come standard on Super Tool 300, and because they're removable you can repair or re-sharpen on the spot. 19 tools all ready for your toughest jobs. Super Tool 300 is back from vacation and ready to get to work.

SOG Powerlock vs Leatherman Charge: Charge's the Champ Part 1
SOG Powerlock vs Leatherman Charge: Charge's the Champ Part 1 Video Clips. Duration : 15.30 Mins.
PART 1 of 2 Here the the SOG Powerlock EOD Model B61 multi-tool (MT) goes up against my standard of measure for full-size MTs, the Leatherman Charge TTi. This one of course is my Cabelas special edition camo version. The Powerlock is the black oxide EOD version. In this 2-part series, Nutnfancy pits them against each other in terms of size, weight, ease of use, comfort, toughness, versatility and features, carry case, quality, and price. You guessed it: the Charge TTi (or the AL, ALX, Ti) wins in most but not all categories. The SOG Powerlock suffers from cumbersome handle covers, sympathetic and less elegant tool deployment, a ¼ driver with a finicky lock, a tiny chisel-ground pen knife blade, a less versatile and heavier sheath, and its 1.2 oz heavier. Thats not to say the SOG Powerlock is bad: it offers a lot of strength with its compound leverage cams, has faster deploying pliers, has good tool variety (including better scissors and a punch), can use ¼ sockets, and its a lot cheaper than the Leatherman Charge. But again the Charge just shines: take for instance its quick detachable and strong pocket clip that can truly turn it into an EDC (every day carry) pocket tool (albeit a 8.2 one!). At least as of now, its just hard to beat the speed, ease of use, excellent blades, outstanding sheath, weight efficiency, and bit versatility of the Leatherman Charge series and it again comes home as the champ in the comparison.
