How to unwind a 1.5 HP 3 phase motor. This is so much fun! Before you post your comment about chopping off one side and pulling the wire out... Don't forget this wire is going to be reused for other projects... ;) 1. cut off rope tie. 2. pull out wire holders. 3 tap on outer coils with rubber mallet. 4 start on one side of the coil and pull out one wire at a time or in small bunches. 5 pull out other side of coil. 6 repeat till all windings are out. 7 don't get mad... it takes time and is tedious work... 8 good luck have fun! happy recycling!
